another close-up...

I've been getting into doing these close-up drawings. I need to get another Japanese album style sketchbook going. My thought for a theme was a series of close-ups. Anyone have another idea, I'm always open to suggestions.

red... again

did another little drawing, it has been a few days since i picked up the sketchbook, i feel guilty. Last Saturday at "art in the garden" went alright. i sold a couple sculptures and just under half of the whistles. i had two people approach me about selling the whistles at their shops. the jury is still out on that.

IF: cracked...

sgraffito on clay, don't apply too much pressure while scratching through the slip or your tile may become cracked... this one didn't ( a couple did).

Theme for Illustration Friday was/is "cracked".

with all the stress i've cracked...

IF: Hierarchy

Probably not my best work, but it fits the mood lately. Saw the theme for Illustration Friday was hierarchy, so i took a stab at it.

took a walk downtown...

walked around riverfront park today. the sun was shining, the air was warm, the park was full of people. most of the people seemed to enjoy the beautiful day. i decided to draw the clock tower. it felt a little awkward at first, but as i continued... i kinda enjoyed it. maybe i'll start sketching in the park and some of the cool stuff around town.
