May is coming

Flowers are blooming in the trees and on the ground, seeds are sprouting in the garden.  i love this time of year!

nice walk in the woods

ran into this young fella while walking the dog.  wasn't able to respond quickly enough to take a picture with my phone.  He was 30 some feet away when we startled each other.  I went back to the house and got my camera, then tracked him down for a few photos.

bad day...

tweaked my back and feeling bad all over, worst yet, tomorrow is monday...  did another drawing in the 14X17 sketchbook, need to get focused and draw mo better.

started another sketchbook  today, also messed my back up while moving rocks for a rock garden...

here's a quick video of the 18X24 inch sketchbook i finished yesterday.  i had a bunch of old partially used sketchbooks laying around, so i decided i'd fill them.  when i finish this pile i'll return to using moleskines (i have 12 laying around untouched...).  hope you enjoy this short vid.

started off the month with a self portrait.  hopefully i can do more drawings this year.

recent trip to DC

cold day hanging around DC, took a walk around the mall and various other areas downtown.  took lots of pictures but only going to post a few.  weather became nasty the day before i left... stranded there two days longer than planned.
