took a break from yard work... better get back out there.

once i finish this thing, i'm taking a break and going back to working with clay. i will still be drawing, but not as often. of course, this may also change.

overcast day

today was cool and overcast. i went to Kay O'Rourke's art in the garden, very nice indeed! it didn't rain and i got to visit with some friends. now i'm home and drew a little. this is the asian lady i see with the huge bag (not pictured). i often see her rummaging through the trash cans as she moves about town. she wears the sun glasses even in the dark. anyway, not much left to this book!

nearing the end but progress is slow. still need to go back and do some additions.

i need a rest... feels like i've been working nonstop and i'm trying to get everything ready for next week... sounds like i'm whining, i'll stop that. it was a beautiful day, tomorrow i hope we get some rain.

back to the grind...

back home now, started working on the folding moley... maine was beautiful, saw three moose in the mountains. work seemed to be less fun than normal, oh well... gotta finish this thing soon. noticed that this is post number 501.

still out there...

still stuck in a hotel and in a rut... son i'll be moving north for a few days, then home on friday. with any luck i'll be in a better mood?

on the road...

sitting around the hotel room tonight i did an angry sketch... kinda went back to my old style of caricature stuff. sorry if the words offend, i have been having a rough week. as you can see, i used my dig camera in bad light... one more week and i'll be home.

have a drink on me...

met this guy in an a dark alleyway while i was in between galleries on an art walk awhile ago (wow what a run-on mouth full). he said he was catching a crab boat @ 4 in the morning... it was after 8 pm at the time. he referred to being out of prison for awhile and living on the streets since his release. if he didn't find work soon he said he would probably end up back in prison... i didn't ask what he was in for, but i did wish him luck. i doubt he made the boat, the coast is a 5 hour drive or much longer by bus, then again the bus for seattle departs between 1 and 2 am. maybe he meant 4 am the day after he gets to seattle?

i've drawn this guy before, he's a bit of an icon downtown. he is extremely tall and seems to be a nice enough guy. two more nights to draw, then off to maine...

this is going slower than i hoped, maybe i'll get a few more pages done tomorrow night... time for dinner!

third visit to the new moleskine

went out to work in the garden... after less than an hour had to quit. rain turned to hail, decided tomorrow may be a better day. so i came in and drew some more...

day 2

day two on this book, i figure if i knock out half of it i can finish it when i get home from maine... time will tell. rainy today, and i have to grill for a bunch of Suk's friends... better practice smiling!
