i used to see these... things, in korea. in the bathroom when you turn on the lights, they would go scurrying... yuck... they were lighter in color (i used my artistic license).

YUCK!!! I had an apartment infested with those. SO gross. Those long, sort of feathery legs... I can feel the hair on the back of my neck standing up just thinking about it.
I love your insect series! The compositions, especially of this one and the flies, are so dynamic, and I like your limited color palette.
I like how the background lines play off the long antennae of the insect.
hilary, i know what you mean, but hey had a funny look to them as they ran away...
angela, thank you for the comment on this series. i don't know how much longer i can stomach drawing bugs.
Good composition! I like it. Before open your blog, I'm wondering what kind of bug today. I'm taking pleasure in seeing this series.
What a wonderful bugs!
Great series!
but you draw them so well! I really get a kick from eying them even if they are rather creepy! again fabulous composition!
mayumi, juan, emily, thank you all so much for the visit and nice comments, i'll post new stuff soon, now that i'm home.
Aaaaa. A thousand-legged bug! I found a piece of tree bark that appeared to have about thirty of these imprinted on the inside.
Well represented.
thanks, honey p amplegood, i've seen bark like that too.
