a sketch from late last year, this year has flown by. i need to break out my pens and get busier with clay... time will tell.

Hey- I've missed seeing your drawings- does this mean you'll be posting more stuff?
thanks Rob, as soon as i start making 'em i'll be posting. i'm in a bit of a funk lately. being on the road, sick, and trying to get some sculptures ready has really put the brakes on drawing...
It's really weird, you know, when something comes to your attention, then it keeps on coming to your attention, over and over again. One theme this week is about selling myself short. It's so easy to do, right?
I absolutely love drawings, or any art really, where there are messages that you can decipher. I always try to do that with my own work. It feels quite risky in some ways, like you are giving a little part of you away. But only to those who take the time to look. I LOVE that. And for the viewer it feels like you are being let into a secret. You are reading someone elses diary, you are peeping through the keyhole.
I love this piece for those reasons. And I don't even know whether any of that makes sense!
