Sold these pieces today at an artist gathering. Set-up at some one's house, the theme was a prior to Christmas sale. I got notified prior to me going to North Carolina. I agreed, showed up yesterday and today, made a little cash, and talked to some interesting folks... Now to finish the work for this up coming show.

Great job, Joseph- all of these pieces are well done. Are the drawings done on wood?
Thanks Rob, the drawings are actually on a clay slab, which is elevated 1/2 inch off the board under neath. The black clay has a thin white layer of clay applied over it. The lines are from scatching through the white to reveal the black clay. The tile is then fired to make it permenant.
They are nice pieces. And selling some of them is great!
It's interesting how to draw on the clay. I want to try to do.
thanks Mayumi, there are various methods. I like this sgraffito method best. I hope I spelled that correctly...
wow i always love to see how people present their work, how they frame it etc, and this is done beautifully!! nice textures and variations of black, a good frame can really bring out an artwork!
Thanks eva, i prefer black and white usually over color, when i frame and in my art.
