haven't seen the moose in awhile. took a hike yesterday, found old droppings and a few tracks. i didn't see any deer tracks or droppings. hope this winter wasn't too severe for them (deer)...
Thanks for your kind note, you might already know, but you can check some of the pics from the shows here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/arthousecoop I love your skecthbook!!
I WANT to see an elk (moose)! Here We had a long and cold winter and so many animals had some problems...coming near the houses... nice illustration as always. You know, I like so much all your animals and insects! And the portraits, the landscapes... :)
This is really great. I've always found it a little difficult to get a realistic approach for animal fur as it's seen straight on, with the shadows and highlights done well enough to look convincing. This is a really great job, and it amazes me that you do it so well in marker.
Thanks for the comments, i ran into the moose a couple days ago! i'll be back to drawing soon, i've fallen behind on that... been working in clay for an upcoming show.

I really like the simple style of this one and the conifers. Very cool :)

thanks everyone for the comments!
Beautiful how you put the moose baby in this almost empty space. It almost emphasis a loss, a loneliness...
Hope you'll find them, where there are droppings...
I have really enjoyed browsing through your work. Very distinctive work with great use of line and space.
