there are these big basalt columns with granite boulders not far from the riverwalk downtown. these are part of the sculpture by Michihiro Kosuge. since the first time i saw them i have been impressed, unfortunately they are off the beaten path. the scale of these things are... well... huge!

thanks, last night i was out with a group of artists, and none of them had ever seen these. i shamed into making a trip down there today.

that's cool. resemble the 'stacking rocks' that you do. I'd love to see a photo of these sculptures.
