Probably not my best work, but it fits the mood lately. Saw the theme for Illustration Friday was hierarchy, so i took a stab at it.

Ahh...the married life...been there...to make it even more realistic you should have had her foot on his back and a riding crop...
I disagree with Brine Blank--the foot on the back and riding crop would be too much. What's here is a bit more subtle. It's not that he doesn't love her; it's just that he's feeling a little overwhelmed, and not in control of his own life.

BTW: nice illo, as usual!
It is a beautiful drawing. Before I looked at the larger version I read the center line of the sketchbook and the horizon line as cross hairs of a scope.
It really works. Great emotion in those simple lines. I so adore your style.
