red



self portrait in red... long days at work. tired, but not much sleep, tonight i'm doing a bisque fire, so i can glaze and finish firing stuff for the 23rd. too bad i have to get up in 5 hours, maybe i should try to go to bed...

Rob, you are too kind! I appeciate the comment, filling in the black and red with small nibs was a pain. The black was gone over with a brush tip pen afterwards to fill the voids. I was pretty tired at the time. The firing is done, I get to unload after work this afternoon.

It's such a strong image. Consuming. How you've done the painstaking detail with the fine nib gives it a real texture - looks 3D.

Think this is a fave!

Thank you all, i should be drawing more but... i unloaded the cone 5 firing today and everything came out in a way that pleased me. if i can get the light right i may shoot an image and post tonight...
