24 hours a day... or page #

saw this image of a little kid with a big knife... scary, when ya think about it. i remember when the girls were this small. i was paranoid they would get hurt, so i was constantly watching them. maybe i'm a little overprotective...

Woha this is creepy! And I think I would have been even more creeped out to see an actual photo of a kid that age holding a knife. But creeped out in a less good way, the great thing with drawing is that you can get away with more. I don't think *not* giving your kid a big sharp knife is being overprotective- I think it's perfectly sane. Saying that, I did get to play with grown up tools like saws and hammers and such for building tree houses, but only when I was a bit older than this kid, maybe around 7.

when i grew up there were all sorts of things laying around that would freak people out no days. we were taught what we could use/touch and what we couldn't until we got older. i also played with tools to build tree forts when i was seven, my brother pushed me out of one a couple days prior to school pictures. to this day it is my favorite picture!
