a quick video of the nightmare sketchbook for art house coo-op's sketchbook project 2011

here's a video just shy of a minute and a half of the nightmare sketchbook. it was done for the sketchbook project 2011 for art house co-op in brooklyn ny. i have to take a few places and make a copy or two before i mail it off.

back cover = done

the book is done, unless...

tomorrow is another day of landscaping and i need to visit a friend. Suk has a bunch of things planned as well. Time to get some sleep.

page 21 and inside back cover...

finished the last page and stuck one of the cards from my sketchbook show (a few months ago). now all that remains is the back cover, and to go through and do any additions i deem necessary.

just couldn't leave it alone... i need to do that single page and back cover and get on to another project. tomorrow i go back to work. i'll have to finish my landscaping job when i can find time in the evenings.

now for a commercial break...

alright the final full spread of pages in the book is done. nightmare, what was i thinkin' when i chose that theme? still may do one more single page, and of course the back cover.

the landscape project is coming along pretty well, tonight i celebrated with a couple Guinness beers!

halfway done with page 20. time will tell how this turns out. after this, all i have left are inside back cover, and back cover...

one more page...ish and i'm done. this time i will take a break from drawing and get back to clay. today i spent most the day digging and moving rock. suk seems to approve of what i'm doing with the back yard/hill. on another note, i ran into the moose again today, it was bedded down in the woods across the street from my house..

spent the day swinging a pick axe and moving rocks and dirt... progress! started drawing a little late. will finish it tomorrow.

page 18

a long day of working in the yard, pinched one finger between two big rocks (nice blood blister), shredded another fingertip on a heavy rock (fair amount of blood). came inside and finished this (maybe). realised a little while ago that all i had to eat today was some elk jerky... time to eat.

started work on another page this morning, now i need to go get some car parts, then back to work in the yard...

using a pick, shovel, and rake has kept me from my pens... after dark is when i like to draw best.

the hour is getting late, and i work way too early in the morning... i'll try to finish this book by next weekend.
